INSTRUCTIONS
- To
search, type in the name or a partial name. (For example: Typing
“smi” could produce search results containing “Smiley,”
“Smith,” “Besmirch,” etc.)
Searches
for business names containing specific words may increase processing
time and the system may not return results in a timely manner
if the search criteria is too broad.There
are no fees associated with checking business information.
- When
you enter a business entity name or Secretary of State Control
number and click the "Search" button, you will receive business
names that match your search criteria along with business id
number, type and status.
- Select the
“Details” button to view additional information including
address, entity creation date, profit/nonprofit, entity status,
domestic/foreign, place of incorporation, duration, FYC month
and registered agent contact information.
- Select the
“Business Filing History” link at the bottom to view additional information
including information on annual report filings and other filing
actions.
