Warning About EUC

Do not file an Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) claim using this internet application as it will result in a delay in your benefits. If you believe that you are entitled to EUC Benefits and have not received a monetary determination in the mail, inquire about your benefits information at your local Career Center. Please refer to www.state.tn.us/labor-wfd for more information. Claimants currently drawing unemployment checks and exhausting regular benefits within a future benefit year ending date will automatically transition into EUC without completing a form. You will receive a check stub message if this applies to you.

PRESS RELEASE EMERGENCY UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION (Tier 3 & Tier 4) Congress has passed legislation that provides up to 20 weeks of additional benefits to unemployed Tennesseans. The President will sign the bill into law, but the program cannot be implemented until the U.S. Department of Labor issues operating instructions. The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development must receive these operating instructions before we can begin making the necessary computer program changes to process applications and make payments. Since computer programming will delay first payments all eligible weeks will be caught up. Additional information and filing instructions will be provided as soon as they become available. You may receive updates by accessing the TDLWD website www.state.tn.us/labor-wfd/.
